PURITY IS A PEAK, NOT A NUMBER

Read the chromatogram, not just the headline.

A COA reports one purity number — but the truth is in the shape. A single tall target peak with a flat baseline is clean; secondary peaks or a noisy baseline mean the real purity is lower than the number claims. Mass spec then confirms that peak is the molecule it's supposed to be.

Not forged — self-issued. The seller testing its own product, printed in the visual language of third-party verification. One we read carried the vendor's own name as both the laboratory and the client. Nothing on the page tells a buyer which kind they are holding.

Only 42% carried an identifier you could quote back to a lab to confirm the report was ever issued.

Every file came from a vendor's own public COA page, with its source URL recorded. Those pages also carry product photos, so the percentage is taken only over documents that were readable as certificates — never over the wider haul. We publish the method because a number you cannot reproduce is worth nothing — how we score.

WHAT PURITY DOESN'T TELL YOU

99% pure isn't the same as safe.

A high HPLC purity number describes one measurement of one impurity class. It says nothing about heavy metals, endotoxins, or residual solvents — the things a certificate usually leaves unmeasured. Peptora shows you what was tested, and flags what wasn't.
